FORT SASKATCHEWAN VICTIM SERVICES UPDATE: Over the next 3 months the existing Police-based Victim Services operations will be transferred to the new Alberta wide regional model. Central Alberta Victim Serving Society (CARVSS) will cover our area and is made up of dedicated, experienced, and local staff. There will still be local Victim Court & Support Navigators at each detachment, and all volunteer Advocates are encouraged continue supporting victims with CARVSS. If you have any questions about the new organization, please contact CARVSS at info@carvss.ca
Fort Saskatchewan Victim Services is governed by the board of directors of the Volunteers Program Association.
We are a police-based program that works in partnership with Alberta Justice and the RCMP. We promote and advocate the rights and entitlements of victims of crime and tragedy. Victim Services provides information, support, and community referrals in accordance with the provincial guidelines outlined in the Victims of Crime Act, the Criminal Code of Canada, and the Victims of Crime Protocol.
Fort Saskatchewan Victim Services provides assistance to victims of crime and tragedy referred to us by the RCMP. Your donation helps ensure we continue to be a source of information, support, and community referrals in times of crisis and extenuating circumstances.
If you require police intervention, contact the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP at (780) 992-6100 or dial 911 for emergency assistance. You can reach Victims Services through phone: (780) 997-7955 or fax: (780) 998-5299.
We are looking for dedicated, compassionate, and professional individuals wanting to make a difference in their community!
